What is the DRFA?

The Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) is a federal funding scheme that allows local governments to restore their transport infrastructure assets following severe natural disasters.

DCPM supports councils in navigating the DRFA scheme, and to PREPARE for, RESPOND to, and RECOVER from damage to their infrastructure assets as a result of natural disasters.

We manage councils’ evidence capture, submission preparation, restoration works, and financial reimbursement claims processes as the scheme requires.

The DRFA process can be too complex, time-sensitive, and laborious for many councils to resource internally - especially after an extreme weather event.

The good news for council?

Our project management costs are fully reimbursable under the DRFA scheme. We can manage the whole process from start to finish with little to no direct cost to council.
